Ensure that the connection to your house water system, with which the high-pressure cleaner is operated, is equipped with a system separator according to EN 12729 type BA. Water that has flowed through a system separator is classified as undrinkable. Always connect the system separator to the water supply and never directly to the device. |
The booster heater is an electrically heated device for wall mounting for heating liquids under high pressure.
This booster heater is intended for cleaning with hot water in combination with an on-site cold water high-pressure cleaner.
The booster heater is switched on with the main switch. As soon as a sufficient quantity of liquid flows through the booster heater, the flow switch switches the heating on.
With the booster heater, you can heat water using electrical energy. Its use makes sense wherever the exhaust gas discharge of a burner is problematic.
The achievable temperature depends on the water flow rate, i.e. the pump capacity of the pump used (see Technical data for average value).
The set temperature is controlled by a thermostat.
No modifications may be made to the device or accessories.
Observe the respectively applicable national regulations for liquid jet cleaners.
Observe the respectively applicable national accident prevention regulations. Liquid jet cleaners must be tested regularly and the results of the test recorded in writing.
Safety devices protect the user and may not be disabled or functionally circumvented.
The water shortage safeguard (flow switch) prevents the heating from switching on when there is a lack of water.
The safety thermostat switches off the heating and the circuit breakers in the event of excess temperature (100 °C). The circuit breakers must be switched on again once the cause of the fault has been rectified.
If the maximum permissible system pressure is exceeded, the safety valve opens to relieve the pressure in the system. The safety valve is adjusted and sealed at the factory. The adjustment is performed only by customer service.
Damaged components
Risk of injury
Check that the device, accessories, supply lines and connections are in perfect condition. If the condition is not perfect, you may not use the device.High-pressure hoses are not included in the scope of delivery.
Connect a high-pressure hose (with a minimum nominal width of 8 mm) to the high-pressure gun and the high-pressure outlet (red) on the device, and tighten by hand.
Connect a high-pressure hose (minimum length 1.5 m, minimum nominal width 8 mm) to the cold-water high-pressure cleaner and the high-pressure inlet (blue) on the device, and tighten by hand.
The pressure inlet and the pressure outlet must be attached to the connections provided for this purpose. Pay attention to the prescribed flow direction.

The electrical connection must be carried out by an electrician and comply with IEC 60364-1.

Health risk
After a longer interruption of operation of several days, the water in the booster heater may contain germs. Therefore, when in use in the food industry, spray the stale water into the drain first for a few seconds.Open the water inlet.
Set the temperature limiter to the desired temperature.
Turn the main switch of the booster heater to position “1”.
Switch on the cold water high-pressure cleaner in accordance with the manufacturer's operating instructions. If the water flow rate is sufficient, the booster heater switches on automatically. When the heating is switched on, the indicator light lights up green.
Unlock the high-pressure gun. When the high-pressure gun is actuated, the cold water high-pressure cleaner switches on.
Always initially direct the high-pressure jet at the object to be cleaned from a distance to avoid damage due to excessive pressure.
If the working pressure and flow rate are adjusted, the water temperature will also change.
Perform cleaning.
30-50 °C: Light soiling
Max. 60 °C: Soiling containing protein, e.g. in the food industry
60-90 °C: Car cleaning, machine cleaning
Hot water hazard

After operation with hot water, the device must be operated with an opened gun with cold water for at least 2 minutes.Turn the main switch of the booster heater to position “0”.
Operate the device with cold water for at least 2 minutes with the gun open.
Close the water inlet.
Switch off the cold water pressure washer in accordance with the manufacturer's operating instructions.
Operate the high-pressure gun until the cold water high-pressure cleaner and the booster heater are depressurised.
Secure the high-pressure gun.
Remove the high-pressure hose from the high-pressure input.
De-energise the booster heater and secure it against being switched on again.
Frost hazard
Destruction of the device through freezing water
Store the device that has not been completely drained of water in a frost-free place.Shut down the device if frost-free storage is not possible.
For longer breaks in operation or when frost-free storage is not possible:
Drain the water.
Flush the device with antifreeze.
Unscrew the high-pressure hoses from the high-pressure input and high-pressure outlet.
Observe the handling instructions of the anti-freeze manufacturer.
Flush the cold water high-pressure cleaner and the booster heater fully with a commercial antifreeze.
This also provides a certain degree of corrosion protection.

Be aware of the weight of the device during transportation.When transporting the device in vehicles, secure it to prevent it from slipping or overturning in accordance with the respective valid guidelines.

Switch off the device before performing any work on the device. De-energise the system and secure it against being switched on again.Switch the device off (see Operation).
Allow the device to cool down.
You can agree on regular safety inspections or close a maintenance contract with your dealer. Please seek advice on this.
Check the mains cable for damage. Do not operate a device with a damaged mains cable. Have a damaged mains cable replaced immediately by authorised customer service or a qualified electrician.
Check the high-pressure hoses for damage (risk of bursting). Immediately replace a damaged high-pressure hose.
Check whether the device needs to be descaled as the set temperature is no longer being reached. The descaling interval depends on the water hardness and the extraction temperature.
Have the device maintained by Customer Service.
Carry out maintenance work on the cold water high-pressure cleaner as directed in the manufacturer's operating instructions.
If deposits build up in the pipelines, the flow resistance increases so that the set temperature is no longer reached.

According to legal regulations, only approved boiler solvents with a test certificate may be used for removing deposits.
RM 101 (order number 6.295-398.0)
Fill a 20 litre container with 10 litres of water.
Add 1 litre of scale solvent.
Connect the water hose directly to the pump head (water inlet) of the cold water high-pressure cleaner and hang the free end into the container.
Place the spray lance connected to the booster heater in the container without a nozzle.
Switch on the cold water high-pressure cleaner in accordance with the manufacturer's operating instructions.
Open the high-pressure gun and do not close it again during descaling.
Run the cold water high-pressure cleaner for 2 minutes.
Switch off the cold water high-pressure cleaner and let it stand for 20 minutes. The high-pressure gun must remain open.
Remove the water hose from the pump head (water inlet) of the cold water high-pressure cleaner and restore the original water inlet.
Remove the spray lance from the container.
Then pump the scale solvent from the cold water high-pressure cleaner and the booster heater without a spray lance and high-pressure gun.
For the purposes of corrosion protection and neutralising acid residues, we recommend then pumping an alkaline solution (e.g. RM 81) through the device.
