Read this safety chapter and these original instructions before using the device for the first time. Act in accordance with them. Keep the original instructions for future reference or for future owners.

• In addition to the notes in the operating instructions, you also need to take into consideration the general safety regulations and accident prevention guidelines applicable by law.

• Warnings and information notices attached to the device provide important information for hazard-free operation.

The power switch prevents unintentional operation of the device.

The lock blocks the trigger and prevents the device from switching on unintentionally.

If the trigger of the high-pressure pump is released, the pressure switch turns off the pump and the high-pressure jet is stopped. The high-pressure pump switches on again when the trigger is pulled.

The motor circuit breaker shuts off the device if power consumption it too high.

The packing materials can be recycled. Do not dispose of packaging as household rubbish but place it in recycling.

Electrical and electronic devices contain valuable, recyclable materials and often components such as batteries, battery packs and lubricants, which - if handled or disposed of incorrectly - can pose a potential danger to human health and the environment. However, these components are required for the correct operation of the device. Appliances marked by this symbol are not allowed to be disposed of together with the household rubbish.

Remove the batteries, rechargeable batteries, battery packs from the old device as described in the operating instructions. Dispose of the battery separately via suitable collection systems.

Cleaning work that produces oily waste water,e.g. engine washing, underbody washing, may only be carried out at washing stations with oil separators.

Work with detergents may only be carried out on liquid-tight work areas with a connection to the sewage system. Do not allow detergents to penetrate water or soil.

The extraction of water from public waters is not allowed in some countries.

Use the high-pressure cleaner in private households only.

The high-pressure cleaner is intended for cleaning machines, vehicles, buildings, tools, façades, terraces, garden machines etc. using a high-pressure water jet.

Only use original accessories and original spare parts. They ensure that the appliance will run fault-free and safely.

1. Download the KÄRCHER Home & Garden App, see KÄRCHER Home & Garden App .

2. Launch the KÄRCHER Home & Garden App.

3. Log into the KÄRCHER Home & Garden App. Create an account for this if necessary.

4. Scan the enclosed QR code.

   The high-pressure cleaner is registered.

   Note

   If you do not have the enclosed QR code at hand, you can also register the device with the part number and serial number. Both numbers are indicated on the type plate.

5. Follow the instructions in the KÄRCHER Home & Garden App.

   Note

   Before pairing the high-pressure gun, make sure that you have Bluetooth^® activated on your mobile device.

Pairing the high-pressure gun

Note

You can find a detailed description of the connection at https://www.kaercher.com/FCR.

6. Insert the mains plug into a mains socket.

   The device switches to pairing mode for 60 s. Pairing the high-pressure gun is possible during this time.

7. Press the "+" button and the "-" button on the high-pressure gun simultaneously for at least 3 seconds.

   If the pairing is successful, the pressure stages as well as the radio and the Bluetooth^®symbol appear on the display.

   ---

   

   The bluetooth^®connection between the mobile device and the high-pressure washer is established automatically.

   Note

   If required, you can also establish the Bluetooth^®connection later by pressing the "-" button for 10 seconds.

8. If the pairing attempt failed:

   1. Pull the mains plug out of the mains socket.

   2. Wait 20 seconds.

   3. Pair the high-pressure gun again.

1. Place the device on a level, horizontal surface.

2. ATTENTION

   Risk of damage during operation with wound-up high-pressure hose!

   Damage on the high-pressure hose.

   Unwind the high-pressure hose completely and lay it out without knots, loops or twists before operating the device.

   Pull the high-pressure hose to fully unwind it from the hose reel.

3. Pull the high-pressure hose forward through the hose guide and lay it out without loops, knots or twists.

4. Insert the high-pressure hose into the high-pressure gun until it audibly clicks into place.

   Note

   Take care to ensure the correct alignment of the nipple.

   ---

   

5. Check the secure connection by pulling on the high-pressure hose.

6. Unwind the power cord completely.

7. Insert the mains plug into a mains socket.

1. ATTENTION

   Risk of damage through contaminated water!

   Contamination in the water can damage the high-pressure pump and accessories.

   Operate the device only with clear fresh water without contamination or additives.Never use contaminated water, waste water or salt water.Kärcher recommends using the optional Kärcher water filter.

   Check the pressure, temperature and quantity of the supply water for compliance with the requirements, see Technical data.

   Note

   Observe the water distribution company regulations.

1. Plug the garden hose onto the water connection coupling.

   Note

   Reinforced garden hose required: minimum diameter 1/2 inch (13 mm), minimum length 7.5 m, with standard quick coupling.

   ---

   

2. Connect the garden hose to the water line.

3. Open the water tap completely.

This device with the KÄRCHER suction hose is suitable for sucking water frome.g. water butts or ponds (for maximum suction height, see Technical data).

1. Unscrew the coupling on the water connection.

2. Fill the KÄRCHER suction hose with water.

3. Screw the KÄRCHER suction hose onto the water connection of the device and hang it in a water source.

1. Switch on the device “I/ON”.

2. Unlocking the trigger.

3. Actuate the trigger.

   The device switches on.

4. Allow the device for run a maximum of 2 minutes until the water escaping from the high-pressure gun is free of air bubbles.

5. Release the trigger.

6. Lock the trigger.

The "+/-" buttons on the high-pressure gun can be used to set the pressure and detergent dosing levels. A jet type change is possible by turning the 3-in-1 Multi Jet spray lance.

1. Align the 3-in-1 Multi Jet spray lance with the high-pressure gun, insert it and secure it by turning 90°.

   ---

   

2. ATTENTION

   Risk of damage when changing the spray mode during operation!

   Damage to the spray lance

   Release the lever of the high-pressure gun before changing the spray type.

   Set the desired spray type. To do this, turn the 3-in-1 Multi Jet spray lance until the corresponding pictogram points upwards.

   ---

   

3. Switch on the device “I/ON”.

4. Unlocking the trigger.

5. Actuate the trigger.

   The device switches on.

To clean stubborn contamination, the BOOST function can be activated for 30 seconds regardless of the pressure stage. This increases the water pressure.

1. Press and hold the "+" button on the high-pressure gun until BOOST is highlighted in the display.

   ---

   

   After the BOOST function has expired, the device operates at the previously set pressure stage.

As soon as the display stops flashing, the BOOST function is available again.

1. Remove the lid from the Plug 'n' Clean detergent bottle.

2. Insert the Plug ’n’ Clean detergent bottle into the intake on the device with the opening facing downwards.

   ---

   

3. Turn the 3-in-1 Multi Jet spray lance to detergent spray "MIX".

   “MIX” is shown on the high-pressure gun display.

   The detergent solution is mixed with the water jet during operation.

4. Use the "+/-" buttons to set the desired detergent concentration.

1. Spray the detergent sparingly on the dry surface and let it work for a while (do not let it dry).

2. Rinse off the loosened dirt with the high-pressure jet.

1. Pull the Plug 'n' Clean detergent bottle out of the holder and close it with the lid.

2. For storage, place the detergent bottle in the holder with the lid facing upwards.

3. Rinse the device with clean water for about 30 seconds.

1. Release the trigger.

   The device stops. The high-pressure in the system is maintained.

2. Lock the trigger.

   ---

   

3. Place the high-pressure gun with the spray lance in the high-pressure gun holder.

4. For work breaks longer than 5 minutes, switch off the device “0/OFF”.

1. Release the trigger.

2. Close the water tap.

3. Actuate the trigger for 30 seconds.

   The pressure in the system is released.

4. Release the trigger.

5. Lock the trigger.

6. Switch off the device.

7. CAUTION

   Risk of scalding!

   Scalding due to hot water escaping after operation, when disconnecting the garden hose or high-pressure hose.

   Wear suitable protective gloves.After operation, allow the device to cool down before disconnecting the garden hose or high-pressure hose.

   Allow the device to cool down or wear protective gloves.

8. Disconnect the device from the water supply.

9. Pull the mains plug out of the mains socket.

Carrying the device

1. Lift and carry the device by the carrying handles.

Pulling/pushing the device

2. Pull out the telescopic handle until it audibly latches into place.

3. Tilt the device onto the wheels and pull or push it.

Transporting the device in a vehicle

4. Before horizontal transport, pull the Plug 'n' Clean detergent bottle out of the holder and close it with the lid.

5. Secure the device against shifting and tipping.

1. CAUTION

   Risk of injury from escaping water under high pressure!

   Injuries

   Only disconnect the high-pressure hose from the high-pressure gun or the device if there is no pressure in the system.

   Finish operation, see Ending operation.

2. Disconnect the spray lance from the high-pressure gun.

3. Press the high-pressure hose release button and pull off the high-pressure hose on the high-pressure gun.

4. Without hose reel: Hang the high-pressure hose on the high-pressure hose hook.

5. ATTENTION

   Risk of damage if wound in the wrong direction!

   Damage on the high-pressure hose

   Only turn the high-pressure hose drum in the specified direction.

   With hose reel: Turn the crank handle counter-clockwise to wind up the high-pressure hose.

6. Stow the power cable and accessories on the device:

Before prolonged storage, observe the additional instructions, see Care and maintenance.

The following must be met:

• The device is disconnected from the water supply.

• The high-pressure gun is separated from the high-pressure hose.

1. Switch on the device “I/ON”.

2. Operate the device for a maximum of 1 minute until no more water comes out of the high-pressure hose.

3. Switch off the device "0/OFF".

4. Store the device and accessories in a frost-protected interior space.

The device is maintenance-free, i.e. you do not need to perform periodic maintenance work.

Clean the sieve in the water connection if necessary.

1. Unscrew the coupling on the water connection.

2. Pull out the sieve.

   ---

   

3. Clean the sieve under running water.

4. Insert the sieve into the water connection.

Note

The batteries are depleted when the high-pressure gun display shows “empty” or no indicator appears.

---

Two AAA size batteries or rechargeable batteries are required.

1. Remove the battery compartment cover:

   1. Press and hold the battery compartment cover release button and

   2. lift the battery compartment cover and

   3. pull it out of the mount.

   4. Let go of the battery compartment cover release button.

   ---

   

2. Remove the batteries from the battery compartment.

   ---

   

3. Align the battery terminals of the new batteries as shown and insert the batteries into the battery compartment.

4. Mount the battery compartment cover:

   1. Insert the battery compartment cover into the mount on the battery compartment.

   2. Press and hold the battery compartment cover release button.

   3. Swivel the battery compartment cover downwards and press it down as far as it will go.

   4. Let go of the battery compartment cover release button (if necessary, press slightly from the opposite side until it is flush with the casing).

5. Dispose of the used batteries in accordance with statutory provisions.

Malfunctions often have simple causes that you can remedy yourself using the following overview. When in doubt, or in the case of malfunctions not mentioned here, please contact your authorized Customer Service.

• Device is not running 

• Device does not start, motor hums 

• The device does not reach required pressure 

• Strong pressure fluctuations 

• Detergent is not sucked in 

• No pressure indicator on the high-pressure gun 

• BOOST function is not shown on the display and cannot be started via KÄRCHER Home & Garden App 

• Error messages 

• Emergency operation 

• High-pressure gun does not work properly 

• Device leaking 

Cause:

The voltage supply is interrupted.

Remedy:

1. Check that the mains plug is plugged in.

2. Switch the device on.

3. Unlock and actuate the trigger.

   The device starts up, otherwise:

4. Check if the voltage specified on the type plate matches the voltage of the power source.

5. Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket and inspect the mains cable and mains plug for damage.

   A damaged power cord must be replaced promptly by an authorized Customer Service.

Cause:

The motor circuit breaker is active.

Remedy:

1. If the motor is overloaded, the motor circuit breaker switches the device off.

2. Switch off the device.

3. Allow the device to cool off for 1 hour.

4. Switch on the device and put it into operation.

   If the fault occurs several times, have the device checked by Customer Service.

Cause:

Voltage drop due to a weak mains grid or when using an extension cable.

Remedy:

1. Do not use an extension cable.

2. Before switching on the device, pull the trigger, then switch on the device.

Cause:

An unsuitable spray type is set on the spray lance.

Remedy:

1. Set a spray type with a high-pressure jet.

Cause:

The water supply is too low.

Remedy:

1. Open the water tap completely.

2. Check the water inlet for sufficient flow rate.

3. Lay the garden hose without kinks.

4. Make sure that the maximum suction height is not exceeded.

Cause:

The sieve in the water connection is contaminated.

Remedy:

1. Clean the sieve in the water connection.

Cause:

There's air in the device.

Remedy:

1. Vent the device.

Cause:

The jet nozzle is dirty.

Remedy:

1. Clean the jet nozzle with a needle and rinse with water from the front.

Cause:

The water supply quantity is too low.

Remedy:

1. Open the water tap completely.

2. Clean the sieve, see Clean the sieve in the water connection.

3. Check the water supply quantity and increase if necessary, see Technical data.

Cause:

An unsuitable spray type is set.

Remedy:

1. Turn the 3-in-1 Multi Jet spray lance to spray type "MIX".

Cause:

The Plug 'n' Clean detergent bottle is empty or not fitted correctly.

Remedy:

1. Check the filling level of the Plug 'n' Clean detergent bottle and replace the Plug 'n' Clean detergent bottle if necessary.

2. Ensure that the Plug 'n' Clean detergent bottle is correctly positioned in the intake on the device with the opening facing downwards.

Cause:

The connection between the high-pressure gun and the device is faulty.

---

Remedy:

1. Check the batteries and replace if necessary.

2. Reduce the distance between the high-pressure gun and the high-pressure cleaner.

3. Carry out the pairing with the high-pressure cleaner again, see Initial commissioning.

Cause:

The device is overheated.

Remedy:

1. Check the water supply temperature, see Technical data.

2. Reduce the water supply temperature to increase engine cooling.

Cause:

---

Remedy:

1. Switch off the device "0/OFF".

2. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.

3. After 20 seconds, insert the mains plug back into the socket.

4. Switch the device on "I/ON".

   Have the device checked by Customer Service if this fault occurs repeatedly.

Cause:

If the pressure regulation on the high-pressure gun is defective, the high-pressure cleaner works at maximum level.

Remedy:

1. Deactivating emergency operation:

   1. Switch off the device "0/OFF".

   2. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.

   3. After 20 seconds, insert the mains plug back into the socket.

   4. Switch the device on "I/ON".

      Have the device checked by Customer Service if this fault occurs repeatedly.

Cause:

A malfunction has occurred in the electronics of the high-pressure gun.

Remedy:

1. Remove the batteries from the battery compartment and reinsert them in the battery compartment, see Replacing the batteries of the high-pressure gun.

2. Mount the battery compartment cover.

   If the malfunction occurs several times, have the device checked by Customer Service.

Cause:

The device leaks a small amount for technical reasons.

Remedy:

1. In case of severe leakage, contact the authorized Customer Service.
